Telegraph launches Ultratravel Golf Magazine

On Saturday, 9 April 2011, The Daily Telegraph launched Ultratravel Golf, the latest addition to its glossy portfolio of Ultratravel magazines.

Edited by Graham Boynton, Group Travel Editor, Telegraph Media Group, the magazine will provide readers with the ultimate golfing escapes, the newest luxury golfing experiences and latest accessories for golfers.

The annual magazine, which will have a circulation of 500,000 in London and the South East, has attracted advertisers such as Gleneagles Hotel, Rocco Forte Collection, Morocco Tourism, Citizen Watches, Vertu, Asprey and Harrod's. The 44-page publication launches at the start of the golf season to mark the opening of the US Masters.

The first edition will feature Ernie Els, one of golf’s great players, winner of the Open Championship and the US Open among many of his great victories, celebrating the game in his native South Africa; advice from Graeme McDowell, winner of the US Open last year, the first European to win it in 40 years; as well as the Top Ten golf courses in the Caribbean from Charles Starmer-Smith.

Graham Boynton, Group Travel Editor, Telegraph Media Group, said: “To have the likes of such great players as Ernie Els and Graeme McDowell offer first hand advice and ideas of when and where to play is indeed a great privilege, however this Ultratravel Golf Special goes even further with guides to the great courses to play and a range of tips that will make it essential reading for golfers whatever level they play at.”

Toby Moore, Publishing Director, Magazines, TMG, said: “The launch of Ultratravel Golf, shows Telegraph Media Group’s continued dedication to innovate and expand its magazine portfolio by producing unique, relevant and luxurious magazines.”
