UBM to launch IFSEC Global India

On 1st January 2015 UBM will launch IFSEC Global India, a dedicated content channel for the Indian security and fire market, after absorbing India Security World.

The merger of these two websites will bring an abundance of local expertise and contacts from the Indian security market to the IFSEC Global brand, says UBM.

To reflect the expanded content needs in the region the IFSEC Global editorial team has expanded appointing Ankush Kumar as editor for IFSEC Global India. Previously editor of India Security World, Ankush is already well established within the region and has experience in covering a wide range of topics in the security and fire industry.

This announcement comes with IFSEC India just days away. Taking place between 11th-13th December 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi IFSEC India provides access to the leading local and global technologies, solutions and knowledge and expects to attract more than 10,000 visitors.

According to UBM, there could hardly be a better place for the global security and fire industry to meet right now; India is the only major economy enjoying a "clear pick-up in growth momentum", according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Commenting on his new appointment, Ankush Kumar, India Editor, IFSEC Global.com, said: "India has become a really exciting market for the security industry as the Indian Government has declared its intentions to revamp the country’s infrastructure by building 100 Smart Cities across the nation. I'm delighted to be joining the IFSEC Global team at this time to cover its development"

Luke Bilton, Director Digital & Content, UBM Live London said: “In the same way that IFSEC live events are internationally renowned, IFSEC Global.com provides an international audience of security professionals with daily news and insight throughout the year.

We are delighted to be working with Ankush and the UBM Asia team on this initiative as it gives us a ready-made infrastructure to launch from. Web traffic from India already represents the third largest region for IFSEC Global.com so we are looking forward to growing this audience further.”

Adam Bannister is overall editor for IFSEC Global.com.
