Vogue Poland debuts as multi-media brand

Vogue Poland, the 23rd global edition of the fashion title, debuts this week.

Vogue Poland debuts as multi-media brand

The inaugural print issue launches simultaneously with its digital platform vogue.pl going live, together with social media channels including Instagram. Vogue Poland is published under licence agreement with media venture Visteria.

The March issue launch cover, shot by Juergen Teller, features Polish supermodels Anja Rubik and Malgosia Bela in front of the iconic Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw.

The content of the debut issue includes a photographic portfolio produced by Juergen Teller; an eclectic mix of fashion and portraits celebrating Polish icons in art, culture and politics. Figures shot include Noble Prize Winner and Solidarity Movement leader Lech Walesa, artist Paulina Olowska, and film director Pawel Pawlikowski. The issue also highlights the work of many Polish fashion designers, as will each issue, together with Polish and international contributors. Launching simultaneously, vogue.pl will bring the reader up-to-the minute and insightful news online seven days a week as an extension of the authoritative print edition, says Condé Nast.

Karina Dobrotvorskaya, President of Condé Nast International New Markets and Editorial Director of Brand Development commented, “Whenever I tell people that we are about to launch Vogue Poland, I am asked the same question: ‘Is there no Polish Vogue already?’ Indeed, Poland, with its economic stability and great appetite for luxury goods, seems a very natural fit for Vogue. It is a long-anticipated brand there, the Polish audience is definitely ready for it. We are extremely excited about this addition to the Vogue family and about the passionate, creative, young Polish team behind it. Vogue Poland is a big step forward for Condé Nast’s ongoing expansion into Eastern Europe.”

Filip Niedenthal, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Poland, remarked, “Vogue’s arrival in Poland brings with it authority and insight, qualities which will quickly establish it as the luxury market leader. We are pleased to be able to offer unique content to fulfill the needs of our local readers.”

Other members of the editorial team include Editor-at-Large Malgosia Bela, whose achievements as an internationally recognised model allow her to function not only as an editor and creative force, but also as the magazine’s ambassador and liaison. Joanna Lorynowicz is Deputy Editor, Lukasz Aksamit is the Art Director, and Daniela Agnelli the Fashion Director, having previously held the same role at Vogue Arabia and The Sunday Telegraph Magazine.

Vogue Poland is the twenty-third edition of the magazine worldwide. Vogue is published in the United States, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Japan, China, Taiwan, Mexico & Latin America, the Middle East, Korea, Brazil, Australia, Portugal, India, Turkey, Thailand, the Netherlands, and the Ukraine.
