Web Designer gets major makeover

Web Designer, Imagine Publishing’s monthly title dedicated to online and digital creativity, is unveiling a new look for October’s issue 176.

The latest redesign represents the most comprehensive facelift ever for Web Designer magazine, introducing brand-new sections and revamping its design.

With the emphasis on providing cutting-edge practical techniques via expertly authored step-by-step tutorials, readers can look forward to a more project-based approach spanning the hottest platforms and tools. Whether you work on HTML, CSS and Photoshop, dabble in jQuery, build interfaces with Flash and Silverlight or blog in WordPress, Joomla! and Drupal, the new-look Web Designer offers a fresh approach to mastering them all, says Imagine.

New sections such as Lightbox and Design Diary delve deeper into the creation of stunning sites, apps and web services to provide a practical edge to showcasing breaking trends. The regular Pro File feature gives readers the chance to hear from the teams behind the world’s biggest agencies, while a totally new Industry section highlights independent talent and offers valuable career advice to those going pro.

The revamped news section, titled <header>, offers a fresh approach to news and products with an emphasis on bringing together the views of top web design evangelists, the magazine team and the readers to review the biggest creative headlines.

“The revised Web Designer allows us to better reflect the way modern designers and developers work, providing clean and easy-to-follow walkthroughs covering a host of technologies”, said Mark Billen, Editor. “Every section of the magazine looks better than ever, and readers will be inspired by a creative feel that acknowledges the whole community on a greater scale.”
