What Mountain Bike launches buyer’s guide

Future, the special interest media group and one of the world’s leading provider of cycling content, is offering a fully comprehensive 2010 mountain bike buyer’s guide in the latest issue of What Mountain Bike magazine.

On sale on 10th February, the new buyer’s guide will provide a complete buying resource for purchasers of mountain bikes and will include detailed specs of 1,079 bikes listed from 73 brands. Each bike listed will have a link to reviews and more detailed specifications on the BikeRadar.com database, the largest bikes and gear reviews database in the world.

Featuring more reveals and bikes for the year ahead than ever before – the 37-page buyer’s guide enforces Future’s continued investment in print.

What Mountain Editor, Mike Skinner, said: “Bike brands invest a lot of time and effort into product development and we’re no different, this has taken months to get right and I’d like to thank the industry for providing the information necessary to deliver the only mountain bike buyer’s guide on the market.”

What Mountain Bike has been a strong performer at newsstand through 2009, and Future expects to attract even more readers with the new buyer’s guide, with advertisers benefiting by placing tailored messages next to specific brands.

“What Mountain Bike already caters to active bicycle buyers better than any other magazine, but this initiative takes things to a whole new level,” said associate publisher Dave Clutterbuck.

“We have made it much easier for prospective buyers to research their next bike purchase and have provided a fantastic entry point for people looking to buy their first bike. Readers of What Mountain Bike are already committed buyers and this allows advertisers to talk to them right at the point of choosing their next bike.”

The buyer’s guide will be included in issue 106 of What Mountain Bike, on sale on 10th February priced at £4.20.
