Peter Johns: “We are very excited at the prospects for resurrecting this iconic brand that has been an essential part of the life of trials and motocross enthusiasts for so long.”

WW Magazines says TMX, previously a weekly newspaper, will switch to a monthly magazine format supported by an array of digital activity.

Tina Callcutt of National World said: “We are delighted that TMX has found a new home following the very difficult decision to close the title late in 2022, with successful independent publisher of specialist titles, WW Magazines, and wish them the very best of luck with it”.

Peter Johns, publisher and managing director at new owners, WW Magazines, said: “We are very excited at the prospects for resurrecting this iconic brand that has been an essential part of the life of trials and motocross enthusiasts for so long. Anthony Sutton the long serving editor of the title – known to many simply as Sutty – will continue at the helm to ensure that the title continues to inform and inspire those passionate about their sport for many years to come.”

The new owners say they also recently acquired the rights to quarterly glossy magazine Dirt Bike Rider another title that had called it a day in 2022. Peter added: “As owner of two brands that have for so long resonated with the off road motorcycling community, we are well aware of our responsibility to deliver high quality journalism for the sector and we will shortly be revealing our plans for the future. We have been blown away with the messages of support we have received since news began to filter out into the wide world and look forward to an exciting future.”
