Condé Nast Contract Publishing to publish magazine for Swarovski

Condé Nast has collaborated with Swarovski to produce a bi-annual glossy print magazine, Salt.

Conceived by Darius Sanai and published by the Condé Nast Contract Publishing Division, the magazine will be available in English, Mandarin and Japanese editions.

Debuting on newsstand in August, with the second issue available in February 2017, Salt will be distributed in the US, UK, Europe, China, Japan and South East Asia to Swarovski clients, as well as being available on selected newsstands. Editorial will cover fashion, design, jewellery and style, inspired by Swarovski, their partners and their collaborations worldwide, with an edgy, lively, directional and forward-thinking tone, says Condé Nast.

Darius Sanai, Editor-in Chief, remarked, “It is a privilege and a pleasure to work with such a prestigious global brand as Swarovski. Our launch issue of Salt is a beautiful, captivating, editorially-driven magazine with a real edge, and we hope we can dazzle readers even more with the spirit and breadth of the Swarovski brand, as interpreted by Condé Nast editors, creatives and writers, in years to come.”

Markus Langes-Swarovski, Member of the Swarovski Executive Board, commented, “The collaboration with Condé Nast is truly inspiring and we are very proud to be able to work with a publisher that is home to some of the world's most celebrated media brands. The result is a unique, new look magazine that explores this world through Swarovski's own combination of heritage and progress.”

Nadja Swarovski, Member of the Executive Board, said, “We are thrilled to relaunch Salt magazine with Condé Nast. The bold creativity and editorial direction of the Condé Nast team will invigorate Salt and create an interesting and striking publication. We look forward to developing our new partnership and producing a beautiful magazine.”

In addition to Darius Sanai as Editor-in Chief, Harriet Quick (formerly of British Vogue, the Telegraph and the Guardian) is Editor, and Kate Law (formerly of i-D and British Vogue) will serve as Art Director.
