New editorial team at ArtsProfessional

ArtsProfessional, an arts management news magazine for the industry’s workforce, has announced a new editorial team following Liz Hill’s decision to step down as Editor.

Amanda Parker

Founding director Hill has led editorial direction since the magazine’s inception in 2001, and led its transition from print journal to its development as an online resource covering theatre, visual art, dance and classical music.

The new Editor is Amanda Parker, a former BBC programme-maker, journalist and communications and campaigns lead who’s created campaigns across film, the arts and education, including for Creative England, ABRSM and Directors UK. Parker is also Chair of artsdepot in North London, and is the founder of Inc Arts, a national collective campaigning for greater inclusion in the arts sector workforce.

The team is also joined by news journalist Adele Richmond, who was previously at The Press and The Nelson Mail, part of New Zealand news group Stuff. She takes over the role from Christy Romer, who has left to write for Global Shapers in Madrid.

Hill remains part of the ArtsProfessional team as editorial consultant, whilst she pursues a new project in community journalism.
