Condé Nast to offer ‘Concept to Creation’ Private Publishing Service

A bespoke multi-media publishing service, Condé Nast Portrait will be launched by the Condé Nast Britain Contract Publishing Division it was announced yesterday.

Offering hand-finished books, glossy magazines and digital projects created privately for the international client by the publishers of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Condé Nast Traveller, this global custom service for discerning individuals will access and commission the finest photographers, stylists, editors, film-makers and archive, creating a very personal story in the unparalleled Condé Nast style, say the publishers.

“Condé Nast is synonymous with engaging, visually arresting and innovative content. Our tailored high-end publishing service will cater for those with an enviable lifestyle who wish to own a ravishing publication or production, which will speak volumes about their lives. We have identified a strong demand for high quality creative publishing, and in many ways it’s no different to commissioning a piece of jewellery, a Savile Row suit or an artwork. Condé Nast Portrait will attract those looking to make a significant investment in a unique personal creation,” commented Natalia Kuznetsova-Rice, Director of Condé Nast Portrait.

Options will include oversize coffee table books to commemorate a special landmark, anniversary or achievement, combining existing imagery with shoots by leading photographers; a fashion or party shoot, utilising the Condé Nast stable of stylists, presented in a magazine; a researched and narrated family genealogical tree; a bespoke magazine, for example gifted to guests at a wedding, featuring stories of the happy couple, combining archive images with written tributes from friends, and featuring a cover shoot specially commissioned for the occasion; a filmed interview with a businessman reflecting on his or her successes to date; photographic books documenting the creation of a house, yacht or jet in the style of Architectural Digest; or a catalogue raisonné of a private art collection.

Whether celebrating, commemorating or capturing memories in a form which can be treasured and shared forever, Condé Nast Portrait taps into an “unrivalled global network” of photographers, writers and film-makers, to curate, project manage and deliver limited run publications and productions. The service will launch in August 2014.

“Condé Nast Portrait is a natural extension of the beautiful and substantial publications we create at Condé Nast Contract Publishing, allowing individuals to access Condé Nast global resources that until now were unavailable to them,” added Darius Sanai, Editorial Director of Condé Nast Contract Publishing.

Condé Nast Portrait is part of the Contract Publishing Division of Condé Nast Britain. This is the first time the division has offered its bespoke services to private individuals.
