The Guardian says Guardian Studios represents a key evolution of its multi-year transformation programme. Green will work alongside journalists, executive editors, and multimedia teams globally to transform Guardian journalism into compelling new visual formats, reach new audiences and foster on-screen talent.
Green returns to the Guardian after working for a decade as a senior producer on strands like In My Opinion, Fake or For Real and Deathland. She also worked on Today in Focus and was part of the team behind the podcast Comfort Eating with Grace Dent. Since leaving the Guardian, Green has worked as a commissioning executive at Channel 4, where she produced films for Untold, Dispatches, and Unreported World. She has also freelanced in television production.
Head of Guardian Studios, Leah Green said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to The Guardian at such a pivotal moment. There is a powerful sense of energy across the organisation towards imagining the next era of video content at a time when the landscape is changing rapidly. I want Guardian Studios to be at the forefront of creating a new generation of Guardian fans by delivering smart, innovative and fun content that people seek out week by week.”
