The Financial Times has announced the appointment of Patrick Foulis as a contributing editor. Foulis will write a monthly column on how geopolitics is transforming markets and the economy, drawing on his extensive expertise in foreign affairs and business.
Foulis previously held senior roles at The Economist, including foreign editor, business affairs editor and Schumpeter columnist. He began his career in banking before moving into journalism, starting as a writer and then deputy editor for Lex, the FT’s investment column. He is the author of a forthcoming book on the future of globalisation and a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
