John Fry takes over the chairmanship of the Society’s influential lobbying committee from Mark Dodson, the former chief executive of Guardian Media Group’s regional division.
David Fordham (pictured), who handed over the NS presidency to Georgina Harvey of Trinity Mirror last week, takes over the IPF chairmanship from Geraldine Allinson of Kent Messenger Group, who becomes NS vice president.
The IPF represents the specific interests of the smaller, independently-owned newspaper groups in membership of the NS.
