FT appoints Lauren Indvik
Lauren Indvik: “I am hugely excited to join one of the world's most respected news organisations.”

Indvik will oversee the FT's coverage of fashion and style. She will also curate the Business of Luxury Summit, an annual event that brings together some of the biggest names in global luxury and fashion. Indvik succeeds and will work closely with Jo Ellison, the newly appointed editor of How to Spend It, and report to Alec Russell, editor of FT Weekend.

Indvik joins the FT from Condé Nast, where she served as chief editor for Vogue Business, a flagship B2B title she developed and co-launched in London earlier this year. She has held several senior editorial roles at Vogue International. Indvik is a former editor-in-chief of Fashionista and started her career at Mashable and TheStreet.com in New York.

FT Weekend editor Alec Russell said: “I am delighted that Lauren is joining us as fashion editor. She has a global perspective on the industry, a record of inspiring digital change and will bring sharp business acumen to the role. Our fashion and lifestyle coverage will flourish under her leadership.”

Indvik said: “I am hugely excited to join one of the world's most respected news organisations and to take on this role at a time of rapid transformation and increasing globalisation in the fashion industry.”
