Guardian US launches The Campaign Minute

Guardian US has launched the Campaign Minute, an experimental, mobile-first daily digest to keep readers up-to-speed with the 2016 US elections.

Published every weekday at 4pm ET, the Campaign Minute will provide a brief of the day’s US political activity, blending news, insight and commentary with multimedia content in an easy to read, visually engaging full-screen format, say the publishers.

The Minute will be available across the Guardian, and via special alerts from Android and iOS apps.

Designed to add personality, context and speed to the daily deluge of political news, the Campaign Minute will feature content from Guardian reporters across the US embedded in campaigns, allowing readers to stay on top of which political hopeful is winning the polling popularity contest, what Marco Rubio is wearing and of course the day’s soundbites from Donald Trump – all curated into one quick overview, says the Guardian.
