Haymarket improves Event Job Search

Event Job Search has moved to the latest version of the specialist job board software from Madgex.

Event Job Search is the first of Haymarket Business Media specialist job sites to move to this new platform, and represents the start of a roll-out programme that will see all of Haymarket’s sites migrating to this new version by the end of September 2010.

Event Job Search claims to carry the widest range of event jobs available from event management jobs to event organiser jobs, audio visual jobs to exhibition jobs, and event jobs nationwide to event jobs in London.

It already attracts more than 18,000 jobseekers each month (HBX March 2009 – March 2010). Statistics also show that the number of jobseekers using Event Job Search has increased by 50 per cent in the past 12 months. The number of job applications has also increased – by over 100 per cent across the same period, says Haymarket.

The changes are designed to build on the existing success of Event Job Search, and will maximise the quantity and quality of opportunities available to both jobseekers and recruiters by improving and developing the user experience while offering new recruiter features.

David Griffith, associate online publisher at Haymarket, said: “The opportunities that the new Madgex platform offers Event Job Search and all of our other specialist job sites allows us to enhance our specialist recruitment business and continue to offer the best online recruitment and job seeking experience. It also clearly demonstrates our  continued investment in and development of our specialist online recruitment services.”

Simon Conroy, chief executive officer of Madgex, added: “We are delighted that we have been able to work closely with Haymarket to develop their online recruitment business.

“Our aim is to provide help jobseekers find the best jobs and recruiters the best candidates by delivering inspirational and innovative digital recruitment solutions and this is reflected in our development of the user experience, addition of new features, refinement of revenue opportunities that benefit Haymarket and help define their recruitment strategy.”
