Huddersfield Examiner Launches New Football Podcast

The Huddersfield Examiner has launched a new Huddersfield Town podcast - Ooh To Be A ... as the club embark on their first season in the Premier League.

Hosted by digital production journalist Raj Bains, the podcast first aired on Monday and aims to provide an insight in to the club in audio format, giving fans a new avenue of coverage to explore during the season.

Twice weekly, on a Monday and Thursday, the podcast brings intelligent and relevant conversation surrounding the latest club news and matches, as well as exclusive interviews and special guests when possible, say the publishers. There will be features from inside the club with the players and manager, as well as making sure listeners have an opportunity to post their own line of questioning.

On a Monday, the podcast - which will feature sports editor Mel Booth as well as football writers Blake Welton and Rory Benson - will look back on the weekend that has just been, going through the fallout from the previous match and digesting all the latest developments as a result. The show on a Thursday will be more preview focused, looking at the team to come that weekend, inviting on opposition experts to talk through the match and drawing a line under anything that may have emerged during the week since the Monday show.

Examiner editor Wayne Ankers said: "We are just weeks away from Town embarking on a huge adventure so we decided the time is right for us to look at our coverage.

"As well as providing daily content and video as well as blogging every match this gives us another way of reaching out to fans and allowing our experts to give their views and opinions on what is happening at the club.

"It is a very exciting time for the club and the town as a whole and this is a great new addition to our coverage."
