JICREG seeks new Chief Executive

After 20 years with JICREG, chief executive Roger Holland will be stepping down from the UK’s regional press audience organisation in July next year.

JICREG (the Joint Industry Committee for Regional Press Research) is one of the only organisations to provide an integrated industry currency for de-duplicated print and online audience measurement.

Howard Scott, chairman of JICREG, said: “Roger (pictured) has been synonymous with JICREG throughout its entire existence. His commitment and vision have been crucial factors in it establishing itself as one of the most respected and trusted media audience organisations in the UK. The process of appointing a new chief executive to continue the development of JICREG is now underway.”

Individuals wishing to learn more about the role can do so in the first instance by contacting Howard Scott, on 0208 329 9238 or hscott@london.newsquest.co.uk.

About JICREG

JICREG says: “Launched in 1990, JICREG (Joint Industry Committee for Regional Press Research) revolutionised the way in which regional and local press advertising is planned, bought and sold. It provides credible readership data for the vast majority of regional and local newspapers. In 2009, in conjunction with the Newspaper Society, it launched Locally Connected, the world’s first integrated print and on-line audience currency for regional media.

As a JIC, JICREG operates as an independent limited company, run by a board of directors that includes nominees from the Newspaper Society, the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) and ISBA (the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers).”
