Low cost video application for publishers launched

Online video specialist Video Direct has launched Videobuilder, a self serve online video production tool designed to open up new video revenue streams for publishers.

For as little as £9.95 per video, advertisers can simply build and edit their own online video with moving image, still image, voice over, text overlay and royalty free music. Videobuilder can be white labelled, allowing publishers to offer it onto advertisers for profit under their own magazine brands.

Once an advertiser has created their video ad, they can automatically upload it to the publishers chosen YouTube channel and from there it can be streamed for free into the advertisers listing on the magazine’s website. The system also generates a hard file for the advertiser to keep.

Videobuilder joins Video Direct’s existing professional video production products, ensuring publishers have a full spectrum of affordable online video production choices available to offer their advertisers.

Richard Counsell, Video Direct’s Managing Director said: “Adding Videobuilder to our existing range of professional production services will really help publishers exploit the full potential of online video. Until now, advertisers have had to hire a professional film maker to create and edit video for them which can be a barrier to entry for them. Now they can make their own video at extremely low cost which will encourage them to use the medium on a broader scale. Video is such an efficient way of advertising online; Videobuilder will help publishers offer advertisers a simple and low cost tool if professional production is out of their financial reach.”
