PA Media, a UK and Ireland national news agency, has launched a new QuickCheck feed within its content platform, PA Explore.
Powered by PA Media’s accredited fact-checking operation, QuickCheck provides broadcasters, platforms and publishers with evidence-backed context, allowing editorial teams to monitor a live feed of concise newsroom-ready updates, says PA Media.
The QuickCheck feed, PA Media continued, is fully integrated within PA’s Explore platform, and offers users context support across fast-paced, developing stories; from political elections and debates, such as Prime Minister's questions, to breaking news, speeches and interviews.
PA Media says QuickCheck works by continuously analysing stories and statements against PA’s real-time news feeds, its extensive archive and a carefully curated selection of reputable external sources. Each publishable update includes clear claims, assessments and supporting sources (with hyperlinks), giving journalists a reliable stream of fact-based insight to guide decision-making in high pressure editorial environments.
Jack Lefley, editor-in-chief, PA Media, says: “In an age when trusted real-time information is more important than ever, QuickCheck is a valuable editorial ally that can help newsrooms quickly understand the context around a fast-moving story or event. Our new QuickCheck feed is fully integrated into PA Explore, offering users rapid, evidence-backed context they can trust during live and breaking news stories.”
QuickCheck, powered by PA Media’s accredited fact-checking operation, is available now as part of an upgraded subscription within PA Explore.
