Publisher’s Toolbox has announced the launch of their UK office. Born eight years ago, the Cape Town based software company provides publishing teams with a range of content creation and workflow tools.

Publisher's Toolbox Launches UK Office

Publisher’s Toolbox says it aims to challenge and disrupt the traditional pricing and license models offered by other vendors. Currently working with News UK and Kent Media Group, they have recently appointed Richard Waghorn as Global Digital Partnership Manager to grow and establish the UK client base. Richard comes from a digital publishing background and has a wealth of knowledge within the industry, says the company.

Richard Waghorn said: “This is an exciting opportunity, I believe there's a gap within the industry where our products and services will add value and generate publishers a healthy ROI.”

Coinciding with their UK expansion, Publisher’s Toolbox have recently launched some new products to add to their repertoire:

Baobab WebSuite: Wordpress plugin set and Progressive Web App Module (PWA)

MojoNewsroom: Complete end-to-end mobile journalism newsroom solution

Augmenta: Create your own interactive augmented reality print experience

In addition to these new products, the toolbox contains:

Baobab Suite: Digital first CMS

BiblioDam: Powerful Digital Asset Management

MojoReporter: Secure mobile journalism platform

Imigino: Video and image analysis and delivery

MobileAppSuite: Multimedia content apps

According to Publisher's Toolbox, each product can exist independently of each other and be integrated with existing platforms and systems to improve workflow and ensure there is no vendor lock in.

Rich Cheary CEO said: “It need not be complicated or costly to implement quality digital experiences for editorial and advertising teams. We feel strongly that our suite of products can be implemented into small and large scale newsrooms with minimal disruption to the internal workflows.”
