Reach launches 2 free football apps in Yorkshire and the North East
Jonathan Birchall: “Our readers want to be at the heart of the conversation about their club.”

According to Reach, Football Yorkshire will house exclusive content from local club reporters who have an inside line to Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United and Huddersfield Town. Whilst Football North East will feature exclusive news from Sunderland AFC, Newcastle United and Middlesbrough FC.

Football Yorkshire and Football North East will cover everything from takeover talk to transfer speculation, and will be the first place to find exclusive news, interviews, opinion and analysis of regional local club news; with users being able to filter the content according to which club they support, say the publishers.

Jonathan Birchall, Audience and Content Director for Sport, said: “Our readers want to be at the heart of the conversation about their club. Yorkshire Football and the North East Football apps will deepen Reach's already unrivalled relationship with the fans.”

David Higgerson, Chief Audience Officer at Reach, said: “Our audience has been telling us they want to interact more with our unrivalled local journalism. We’ve listened and that’s why we’ve launched Yorkshire Football and North East Football.”
