Senior management appointments at Johnston Press

Johnston Press has appointed Henry Faure Walker as Digital and Business Development Director and Steve Brown as Divisional Managing Director North.

Henry joined Johnston in 2002 as Group Business Development Manager and has enjoyed a successful career with the Company, most recently as General Manager of the Scotsman Publications.

In his new role, Henry will aim to continue the expansion of digital activities, which has included the successful launch of local Jobs sites in August 2009 and the new business directory partnership with Qype, announced with the company’s recent interim results which showed digital revenues up by 10.9%.

Henry, 38, holds a degree from Durham and an MBA from INSEAD.

Commenting on Henry's appointment, John Fry, Chief Executive of Johnston Press plc said: "We are very pleased that Henry will be heading up our Digital and Business Development areas.  He has made a strong contribution to Johnston over the last eight years and the experience he will bring to the new role will be invaluable."

Steve's appointment follows the departure of Chris Green on 24 August 2010.

Steve has spent his career in the regional newspaper industry, having held senior positions at Northcliffe, Trinity Mirror and latterly with the Claverley Group.

Based in Leeds, Steve will report direct to Danny Cammiade, Chief Operating Officer.
