A Cheshire-based independent, monthly, tabloid newspaper has rebranded to reflect, say the publishers, its increasing profile and presence across the county.

South Warrington News rebrands as The Cheshire Times

South Warrington News, which launched in 1993, is now known as The Cheshire Times.

The free tabloid has continued to expand geographically in recent years, say the publishers.

The Cheshire Times continues to be published and run by North West News Limited and owner and editor, Brigid Hardman, said: “We now intend to take our message forward, with our sole aim being to promote the people, trade, businesses, services, education, organisations and communities of the areas we serve.

“The new format is already proving to be a strong vehicle and I am determined to uphold its active role in keeping businesses and communities thriving and interacting.”
