The Sun is appealing for applications from readers, friends and family on behalf of those who deserve a pat on the back on the back and who share their 70th birthday with the Prince.

Prince Charles' work with the Prince's Trust and myriad other charities and good causes deserves applause - but so do other unsung heroes amongst our readership, says The Sun.

The party will be held in an exclusive location in Central London on November 14th.

From lollipop ladies to hard-working local volunteers, The Sun is looking for the inspirational stories of people who go above and beyond for others.

Readers, charity staff and family can apply via www.thesun.co.uk/royalbirthday. The competition closes on 23rd October.

Royal Photographer Arthur Edwards will help judge who deserves to join the party - and will be there to capture the event on camera. He said: "To mark the Prince's birthday we wanted to host this party and meet other inspiring people turning 70, showcasing their work for others."
