Autosport launches digital edition

Haymarket has launched a digital version of Autosport magazine that will be made available to subscribers through Autosport.com.

The Autosport Digital Edition   is produced in-house and is offered free to print subscribers.

It will also be available as a stand-alone subscription. This is particularly targeted at overseas motorsport fans, as the Digital Edition will give them access to Autosport on the day of publication before the print issue could arrive either by post or at their local bookstore.

Autosport publisher Rob Aherne said: “We had the opportunity to trial this service for a few weeks in 2009 during the postal strike and subsequent reader feedback for the concept was overwhelmingly positive.

“The launch of the Digital Edition will give us the opportunity to reconnect with former readers overseas who want to engage with the brand but have been put off by long delivery times as well as providing the same immediate delivery to print subscribers.”

The Digital Edition is currently available as a free trial. The first subscription issue will appear on March 4.
