BDUmedia selects AdPortal from Wave2

Wave2 Media Solutions, the UK-based newspaper software specialist, yesterday announced that BDUmedia has become the latest newspaper publisher to adopt its technologies.

BDUmedia, based in Barneveld in Holland, selected AdPortal from Wave2 following a detailed and thorough vendor selection process. AdPortal will form part of a group wide, combined business and technology initiative aimed at attracting new SME and classified advertising customers and strengthening revenue performance.

The first phase of what is a long-term project focuses on the implementation of a print and online trade display self-service advertising solution. This will be closely followed by the launch of a classified lineage self-service offering.

AdPortal will integrate with the Zeno booking system solution as supplied by Socho_IT as well as the iDeal payment service provider solution.

Gert Dekker, Information Manager at BDUmedia explains why the decision was made to go forward with Wave2: “Our aim for this project was to select and work with a partner whose technology was proven and whose solutions provided us with a path for strategic development going forward. The AdPortal solution from Wave2 clearly meets our current needs but also acts as a platform from where we can extend our self-service offerings for our customers into areas such as digital, video and mobile.”

Commenting the most recent addition to their customer community, Andrew Haggarty – Wave2 Sales Director, said: “We are delighted to be working with BDUmedia on a project of such profile and significance. BDUmedia is increasingly aiming to put their products in the hands of their customers and the solutions from Wave2 complement that objective perfectly. This latest contract is further evidence of Wave2 being recognised as a major solutions provider to publishers throughout the Netherlands.”
