BuzzFeed UK and HuffPost UK join Ozone Project

The Ozone Project – a digital advertising platform built for brands by publishers – yesterday announced BuzzFeed UK and HuffPost UK as the latest partners to join the alliance.

Jack Riley: “Ozone is a great example of our continuing efforts to grow and diversify our UK revenue.”

The inclusion of the two titles in the Ozone portfolio will enhance the opportunity for advertisers to reach highly-engaged and scaled audiences across some of the UK’s most popular websites.

With a reputation for creating trusted, quality, brand-safe news and entertainment, BuzzFeed, Inc.’s editorial ethos is firmly in line with the premium positioning and responsibility shared by Ozone publishers, says The Ozone Project.

Ozone makes it easy for advertisers to reach its digital audiences with a single buy – across more than 250 premium domains. The addition of the BuzzFeed, Inc. audience will increase Ozone’s total deduplicated platform reach by more than 200,000 readers every month.

Every new publisher joining the publisher alliance adds greater depth to the insight and activation capabilities of the Ozone platform. Offering a unique, single view of reader behaviour across all of its titles, Ozone helps brands reach their audiences in context-rich environments, through behavioural targeting and other methods not reliant on third-party cookies.

Dipti Patel, Business Development Director, The Ozone Project said: “We’re delighted to welcome the BuzzFeed, Inc. brands into the Ozone family. From our earliest discussions it was clear that the organisation’s reputation for delivering brilliant content for really engaged readers was the perfect match for our current publishers. BuzzFeed and HuffPost UK are power brands in the digital media space and through this new partnership we will be able to offer even more opportunities for those advertisers with a clear focus on ensuring their campaigns only ever appear in quality, brand safe environments.”

Jack Riley, Vice President, Business Development and Revenue Strategy at BuzzFeed, Inc. said: “We are excited to have both BuzzFeed UK and HuffPost UK join The Ozone Project, and unlock additional programmatic demand which specifically targets premium editorial content. A year into BuzzFeed, Inc.'s acquisition of HuffPost, we're continuing to see the benefits from having these two strong brands under one roof, and Ozone is a great example of our continuing efforts to grow and diversify our UK revenue.”
