Two hundred and seventy news deliverers from the Northern District were treated to a day out at Flamingo Land theme park in Malton, North Yorkshire on Sunday July 4.
Organiser Tony Pucci said: “The weather was warm and sunny and the boys and girls had a great day out, enjoying the rides and visiting the animals.”
The £25 entry fee per deliverer was paid for out of the Northern District’s social fund and by participating newsagents.
Transport to and from the event was paid for by Northern Echo and the NFRN. The NFRN would like to thank Smiths News, Menzies Distribution, Mirror Group Newspapers, Mail Newspapers and the Northern District for supporting this event.
