The series launches with How to Draw & Paint Manga as its first issue, and features a gallery of some of the very best manga artists, animated lessons in how to get to grips with the basics of the genre, an interactive guide to Photoshop and its digital art functions; plus a range of expert-crafted interactive lessons teaching readers how to draw and paint everything from manga action poses and portraits to futuristic vehicles and robots.

Tom Dennis, Digital Product Editor for Future’s Creative Group says: “We’ve taken a new approach to delivering tutorial content on iPad based on how digital artists use their tablets alongside their main computer. Our Group has mastered tutorial content, as magazines like Computer Arts and ImagineFX prove. The How to Draw and Paint series takes this tutorial process to the next level, not just by telling readers how to create a particular style or artwork, but by also walking them through the various stages with animations and dynamic content.”

Fiona Tully, Digital Creative Publisher says: “We’ve been delivering content to help designers and artists get better at what they do for decades so it’s a natural next step for us to bring this practical “how to” content to life through the iPad. Our market-leading creative brands give us access to the world’s best digital artists and designers and through this new series of animated workshops, up and coming artists can learn new skills, techniques and tips from true digital art masters.”

How to Draw and Paint represents a further addition to Future’s already extensive range of magazines available to purchase on Apple Newsstand. With over 70 titles available, including T3 and Guitarist, Future is a world leader in tablet publishing and claims to have more digital editions available for iPads and iPhones than any other publisher.

How to Draw & Paint is available from on the App Store via a 90-day subscription priced £4.99. Other topics in the How to Draw & Paint series include Anatomy, Gods & Monsters, Fantasy characters, Cartoons and more.
