Future launches TriRadar.com

Future has launched TriRadar.com, the brand-new triathlon website from the teams behind Triathlon Plus magazine and the popular BikeRadar.com and Cyclingnews.com websites.

Complementing coverage in Future’s monthly Triathlon Plus, TriRadar.com will provide triathletes with regular news updates and kit reviews plus a wealth of training advice and resources – including race training schedules, event previews and plenty more. Future promises further developments for the site in coming months as it gears up for the UK’s 2011 triathlon season.

Building a sense of community and an online home for triathletes, the TriRadar.com forum will offer support, motivation and guidance, as enthusiasts are encouraged to share their training regimes with their peers, and receive expert advice from the Triathlon Plus team and a roster of guest contributors.

The launch of TriRadar.com is backed with commercial support from several key industry partners, who have signed up on extended advertising deals. Those working with TriRadar.com from launch include triathlon organisers Human Race, leading triathlon and cycle wear specialists Orca, and Tacx VR – the innovative home cycle training system.

Katherine Raderecht, Group Publisher of Future’s cycling portfolio, said: “The launch of TriRadar.com complements our print coverage and further builds awareness of the Triathlon Plus magazine brand globally. Making our high quality content available online dramatically increases its reach and this has already proved attractive to several of our key commercial partners who have backed the launch. TriRadar.com will evolve and grow, working closely with the industry to offer a range of new functionality.”

Elizabeth Hufton, Editor of Triathlon Plus and TriRadar.com, added: “We’re incredibly excited about the launch of the website and it’s been fantastic to get the backing of the industry. Our readers wanted somewhere they could discuss their training and get motivated, and there’s a huge opportunity to massively increase our audience by connecting with the global community of triathletes.”

As one of the world’s leading provider of cycling content, Future’s market-leading magazines and websites claim to reach over 3.8 million cyclists and triathletes every month worldwide, delivering highly relevant and timely information to a global audience of enthusiasts.
