Mail Advertising bolsters team with two new hires

Mail Advertising announced two new appointments to the advertising team. Jim Chaudry joins as Head of Automotive and Peter Marsh joins as Head of Food, Drink and Broadcast.

Jim joins from News UK where he was Head of Automotive for seven years and was part of the management team that launched Sunday Times Driving and Sun Motors Online. Prior to joining News UK he was Head of Automotive at the Financial Times for ten years, including organising and executing the FT Geneva Motorshow dinner. He is also a member of the Motoring Committee at the Royal Automobile Club, say the publishers.

Peter has over twenty years' experience within the media industry, specialising in retail and FMCG in recent years. He also joins from News UK where he was Head of Grocers & FMCG and was responsible for devising the strategic communication plans for the 2012 Olympic Games across print and digital. Previously he was Business Development Controller at ITV for ten years.

These hires come as Mail Advertising continues to invest in its client-facing sales team to ensure that clients are hearing directly from the Mail about how their brands connect with consumers to drive return-on-investment.

Rosemary Gorman, Advertising Director, Mail Advertising, said: "It is a fantastic coup for the Mail Advertising team to be joined by Jim Chaudry and Peter Marsh. It is testament to the exciting opportunities that exist within our team that they have both chosen to join us. We are looking forward to them both drawing upon their combined significant experience within the newspaper industry, as we continue to build on our past successes and facilitate closer and more effective partnerships with our clients."
