More than 16,800 watch Autosport on YouTube

Videos from the Autosport International show recently helped Autosport.com’s YouTube channel to challenge the popularity of mainstream broadcasting giants on YouTube, including the BBC and ITN.

According to publishers, Haymarket, over the weekend, AUTOSPORTdotcom on YouTube became the number one viewed channel supplied by a news reporting site.

By last Monday morning, nearly 15,000 people had watched the videos, which include footage of Jenson Button’s mainstage interviews and David Coulthard unveiling the new Castrol Rankings site.

As of Friday, the channel was still the eighth most viewed of those featuring reporters, and viewers keep coming. More than 16,800 people have now used the channel and the videos have been viewed more than 43,800 times.
