MusicRadar.com launches new DJ channel

Future, the special interest media group, is strengthening its fast-growing musicians’ website MusicRadar.com with the launch of a brand new DJ channel.

This bespoke channel focuses entirely on DJing, catering for the growing number of people who are using digital technology to mix their music. The channel is designed for DJs of all skill levels: from people who are using just a computer, some software and their digital music files; to more technically advanced DJs who’ve expanded their setups with the likes of controllers, mixers and timecoded vinyl/CD systems.

Furthermore, the launch of MusicRadar’s DJ channel comes at a time when the mobile DJing market is set to explode thanks to innovative new apps for Apple’s iOS, says Future.

The channel offers news of the latest DJing gear; hardware, software and app reviews (many taken from the pages of Future Music and Computer Music, Future’s market-leading music technology magazines); and eye-catching features such as a rundown of the 20 greatest DJs of all time. There are also technique tutorials and interviews with both established and up-and-coming DJs.

MusicRadar.com claims to reach nearly 1 million musicians a month, and the new DJ channel will enable it to engage with many more.

Speaking about the new channel, MusicRadar.com Editor-in-chief Will Groves said: “With the lines between music production and DJing become ever-more blurred, now is the perfect time for MusicRadar.com to launch a dedicated DJ channel. Whether it’s in Ableton Live, Traktor Scratch or with a pair of CDJs, the creative options available when you’re mixing your music have never been greater. MusicRadar’s new channel celebrates the very latest in digital technology while also paying homage to DJing’s illustrious history.”
