Gillean McLaren: “The new partnership with Reach gives many more advertisers access to these brands, and their engaged and responsive audiences.”

DC Thomson, one of the leading media organisations in the UK, produces some of the most read newspapers in Scotland including The Courier, The Press and Journal and The Sunday Post.

From November 2022, DC Thomson's print newsbrand titles will form part of Reach’s advertising packages including its popular Big City package, adding more than 740,000 readers to the fold. In Scotland, the new partnership will deliver the largest print advertising solution in the country as well as delivering a higher engagement rate across audiences and communities served by DC Thomson titles, says Reach.

DC Thomson’s main daily titles will form part of Big Reach and Big City advertising portfolio. Its Sunday paper, The Sunday Post, will be part of the Big Sunday which already features six nationals and five regional titles amounting, says Reach, to a 2.3 million readership in total.

Howard Parker, Sales Director UK regions, Scotland and Ireland at Reach said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with DC Thomson. As part of our highly successful packages, we will deliver even more great value to our advertising customers. Reach continues to innovate the news brand market.”

Gillean McLaren, Head of National Sales at DC Thomson said: “Earlier this year, our print titles won two of the biggest awards at the Scottish Press Awards: newspaper of the year for the P&J, and Sunday paper of the year for The Sunday Post, recognising our commitment to quality journalism. The new partnership with Reach gives many more advertisers access to these brands, and their engaged and responsive audiences.”
