Just as the Retina screen of the iPad 3 has redefined the tablet computer, so the flagship Apple device’s stunning display has allowed T3 to transform its best-selling iPad edition into a new kind of digital magazine, says Future Publishing.
With higher colour contrast and display resolution, T3’s product photography now looks better on an iPad 3 screen than it does in print. Text is sharper, page design is cleaner, illustrations are more vibrant and bespoke T3 video is punchier, while even 360-degree product 'hands-on' reviews have been given a boost in the new edition.
Luke Peters, T3 Editor, says: “With the entire edition optimised from top to bottom, T3 has never looked better. The team has also worked hard to keep download times to a minimum - a key factor in our reader research. Those with first- and second-generation iPads will still receive the same great content that has helped T3 become the best-selling technology magazine in iTunes UK since its launch in 2010.”
The upgrade to T3’s iPad edition is a supercharging of the title, which was published to Apple’s Newsstand on 24th May. It will be supported by the biggest marketing campaign since its launch onto iPad. The multi-platform campaign is hoping to encourage sampling with an introductory offer for a limited period of £1.99 (usual price £2.99).
