TechRadar opens the shutter on new camera channel

Future, the special-interest media group, has revealed a dedicated camera channel at www.TechRadar.com – its consumer technology website.

Cameras@TechRadar is powered by the team behind Future’s Digital Camera magazine and www.PhotoRadar.com, and features the breadth of in-depth coverage TechRadar is renowned for, says Future.

The new channel’s news, reviews, features and analysis cover everything consumers need to know about every type of camera, lens and accessory: from top-of-the-line DSLRs to value-for-money compacts.

Angela Nicholson, Head of Testing for Future’s Photography Portfolio, says: “Cameras@TechRadar means photographers can now get all their news, reviews and rumours from one place. It’s the work of experts who love photography and understand what photographers want - whether they are complete beginners looking for a point-and-shoot compact camera or seasoned pros who need the latest top-end gear.

“We are continually developing our testing procedures to make sure our reviews are the best, most comprehensive available.”

Expert buying guides and major manufacturer head-to-heads ensure consumers get exactly the camera they’re looking for, while quick-reference Hot and Latest sections plus camera rumours ensure they’re the first to know about new equipment.

Cameras@TechRadar sits alongside successful dedicated sections on TechRadar for mobile phones, tablets, laptops, TVs and more.

TechRadar Publisher Nick Merrit says: “Given the importance of camera buying to our audience, we’re very pleased to be able to offer improved coverage and visibility for camera news and reviews across TechRadar. The expertise of our camera team is something we’re particularly proud of and we’re looking forward to bringing our audience the absolute definitive camera and accessory reviews.”
