Telegraph appoints new Newspaper Sales Director

David Greene has been appointed Newspaper Sales Director at the Telegraph Media Group.

David takes over the role from Steve McLaughlin who was recently promoted to Chief Commercial Officer: Digital and Consumer Revenues. David will report to Murdoch MacLennan, Chief Executive.

From 1998 to 2008 David was the Marketing and Circulation Director of Independent News and Media where he devised the circulation and marketing strategy for the launch of the compact edition of The Independent. He introduced learning-based promotions and achieved record sales uplifts for the paper.

David previously worked on a wide range of magazine titles as the Circulation Director for IPC Magazines.

After leaving The Independent, David set up his own sales promotions agency, LOAF Marketing whose clients include publishers, media agencies and direct clients.
