Telegraph produces daily paper for Hay Festival

From May 26th to June 5th, Telegraph Media Group will be producing a daily stand-alone newspaper for the Hay Festival called the Hayly Telegraph.

The 12-page, full-colour newspaper will include a round-up of the latest festival news and a selection of the day’s major events.

This is the first time that the Telegraph has published a special edition daily newspaper, and it will also be the first time that the Hay Festival has had a dedicated daily newspaper. The Hayly Telegraph, the Telegraph’s most recent innovation as the Festival’s main sponsor, will be edited by the Daily Telegraph’s Saturday Review editor, Tom Horan. Commercial partners for the Hayly Telegraph include Google, Barclays Wealth, Kindle and Camelot.

TMG has a three-year sponsorship deal with the Hay Festival, which will see The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and The Telegraph as title sponsors of the festival. In addition to the in-depth coverage of the festival provided across the Telegraph titles, and the Hayly Telegraph, the Telegraph’s journalists and columnists will have a strong presence throughout the festival, taking part in debates and events.

Tom Horan, Editor of the Hayly Telegraph said: “The Hayly Telegraph will be a must-read for everyone at Hay. It will be the number one source for information and reviews of everything that is happening at the festival.”

Mark Skipworth, Executive Editor, TMG, said: “We want to make the most of our Hay Festival sponsorship and it is through innovations such as the Hayly Telegraph that our impact will be felt. This type of ‘first’ is exactly what the world’s leading literary festival deserves and we look forward to complimenting the Festival’s events with our own first-class publication.”
