Trafford Metro relaunches as two new titles

MEN Media has announced that The Trafford Metro will relaunch as two new newspapers: The Sale & Altrincham Advertiser and The Stretford & Urmston Advertiser.

The launches will take place on 21st October and will see the titles include more local content as a result of the editorial restructuring of the MEN Media business over the summer.

In addition, the combined distribution of the two new titles is expected to be more than 10k higher than that of the Trafford Metro, which represents an increase to an anticipated total of 78k.

The publication day of the paper will move from Friday to Thursday and each of the new titles will include an “innovative” property platform - Homesmine - featuring properties specific to each newspaper's local area.

MEN Media Managing Director, David Sharrock, said: "We're delighted to announce the launch of these two new titles to serve the Sale & Altrincham and Stretford & Urmston markets.
