AOP Awards 2011 - Open for Entries

The Association of Online Publishers (AOP) has opened entry to its 10th Digital Publishing Awards.

The awards, designed to celebrate excellence in digital media across AOP’s varied membership, are open for entry from 6 January 2011 and will close 11 March 2011. (Full details of entry criteria and entry forms at AOP Awards 2011.)  The finalists will be announced at the AOP Awards showcase to be held at the Roundhouse, Camden, London on 9 June 2011.

The 19 categories this year include two new awards: Product Team 2011 – a category open to product development and product management teams within a publishing operation; and Ad Ops Team 2011 – open to publishers, agencies and advertising networks who sell or buy online display advertising media. For the first time this year, there will be an overall “AOP Grand Prix 2011” prize which can be awarded by the judges additionally to a winning entry.

Tim Faircliff (pictured), AOP Chairman and General Manager, Consumer Media, Thomson Reuters “We’re pleased to open the 2011 AOP awards for entries. While the key awards for Consumer and Business Digital Publishers are popular, and Digital Editorial Individual category is always keenly fought; overall, we feel these awards reflect and applaud the diversity and talent within the UK publishing industry.  The new categories for Product Team and Ad Ops Team are indicative of the importance of, and recognition of the key skills, these teams bring to the industry and to our members’ businesses.  The Innovation category is a chance to acknowledge the new, imaginative and original use of media or technology.  We’re looking forward to a great night in June to commend and reward all that is great in UK digital publishing and celebrate the first decade of the AOP awards.”
