Boston Herald selects DTI ContentPublisher

Digital Technology International (DTI) has announced that the Boston Herald and BostonHerald.com, Herald Media, Inc properties in Boston, MA, USA, have signed an agreement to install DTI ContentPublisher to manage all their print and Web content in one unified system.

“In this highly competitive market, we are the best at what we do. Being fast, first, and accurate is imperative in today’s news world,” said Jim Potter, deputy managing editor for design and production, Boston Herald. “We will now have the tools necessary to stay on top and do it efficiently.

“Over the years we’ve had extensive dialogue with DTI, and due to their innovation regard them as the premier systems vendor in the industry. We like and share their vision, their direction, and their technology.”

The Boston Herald and BostonHerald.com will replace their current separate systems for print and Web with DTI ContentPublisher. This will increase efficiencies and provide easy-to-use tools to create and manage multimedia content for delivery to all channels. The new solution will eliminate newsroom walls, extend functionality, and create an efficient and collaborative environment for journalists.

“Herald Media, Inc. is a major metropolitan media company and we are pleased to be a part of their future,” said Dan Paulus, vice president, sales, DTI.  “With DTI ContentPublisher the Boston Herald will enjoy an unlimited sharing of information and digital assets throughout their entire enterprise, regardless of platform. Our content management system is the fastest way to create multimedia content for multiple channels – as well as a great platform from which to build a wider audience.”

The Boston Herald, a four-time Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper, is the largest tabloid in New England, and one of the oldest in the United States.
