FT.com launches Trading Room

The Financial Times has announced the launch of FT Trading Room.

FT Trading Room is a new section of FT.com providing a single source of intelligence for breaking news, analysis and comment on the world of equities and derivatives trading. In addition, it also provides information on exchanges, alternative trading platforms, clearing, settlement, regulation of these areas and information on trading technology and the firms that provide this.

FT Trading Room is also an online community and includes features such as a chat room for trading professionals, a weekly video interview with an industry expert and a dedicated section on the latest hires and job moves. The site will aggregate existing content from FT.com as well as its own specific content. Editorial content for areas such as China and India will be provided by the FT’s extensive global network.

Jeremy Grant (pictured) has been appointed editor of FT Trading Room. Grant joined the FT in 1994 as its first Vietnam correspondent. He has held several positions at the paper including covering US futures and options exchanges based in Chicago, the US automotive sector, and financial regulation based in Washington DC. Most recently, Grant was a senior corporate reporter covering British business news and trends as well as stock and derivatives exchanges/clearing and emerging trading platforms in Europe.
