Newsagents applaud DC Thomson

Scottish newsagents have applauded publisher DC Thomson for maintaining pro rata retailer terms alongside a 2p price increase on the Dundee Courier.

Welcoming the move, new president of the Scottish NFRN Robert Paton said:  “The price increase to 48p with a pro rata increase is a fine example of the way newsagents and Scottish publishers are working together.

“At a time when publishers everywhere are being hit by rising print and paper prices, it is great to see another publisher recognising the challenging times that independent newsagents are facing.

“On behalf of all Dundee members I would like to thank and applaud DC Thomson for this action and would urge all members in their circulation area to give the paper their full support.”
