Newsquest Media Group has announced the appointment of two new Editors at its Midlands South division.

With immediate effect, Michael Purton - currently Deputy Editor at Worcester and previously Editor of Newsquest Gloucestershire - has been appointed to the role of Editor for the Worcester Division.

This includes the daily news brand Worcester News in addition to the Malvern Gazette & Ledbury Reporter, Evesham & Cotswold Journal and the world’s oldest continuously published newspaper, Berrow’s Worcester Journal.

Stephanie Preece, currently Head of Content for Worcester Division is appointed Editor across the Stourbridge Division. This includes the Stourbridge, Halesowen & Dudley News, Bromsgrove & Droitwich Advertiser, The Shuttle and Redditch Advertiser. Stephanie will take up her position following her return from maternity leave.
