Sally Soames exhibition at the Guardian

Guardian News & Media is hosting a new exhibition by photographer Sally Soames.

Sally's first assignment was for The Observer in 1963 and after that she freelanced for both the Guardian and The Observer before joining the Sunday Times. Following her retirement, Sally donated her photographic archive to the Scott Trust Foundation in 2008.

Luke Dodd, curator of the exhibition, said: "Sally Soames's work is a valuable addition to the Scott Trust Foundation's archive, in particular her insightful, iconic portraits of writers and artists."

The exhibition takes place in the foyer of Guardian News and Media from Friday 18 June 2010 until Friday 20 August 2010. The exhibition is open to the public every day from 10am to 6pm. Admission is free.
