Sunday Times launches iPad edition

Last weekend, the Sunday Times launched its first ever iPad Edition. With all 12 sections from the newspaper, including three magazines and a new interactive TV guide, it aims to deliver a whole new, richer experience to readers.

Building on the experience of The Times iPad edition, which was released last May, The Sunday Times iPad edition has been specifically developed to enhance the reader experience by making the very best of the iPad's unique design and functionality, say the publishers.

The new iPad app will allow users to discover exclusive added layers of information which are not possible in the paper format. Unique features to help navigation, such as a headline scanner to easily find the top stories of the day and a skyline panel which enables users to swipe through exclusive videos, will bring the Sunday paper to life in a whole new and compelling way.

John Witherow, editor of The Sunday Times said: "This is the first time a multi-section newspaper has put everything onto an app and lots of video and graphics bring The Sunday Times to life. We are proud to deliver a really beautiful reading experience for the iPad."

A free app is available to download from the iTunes store which includes a full sample issue of The Sunday Times iPad Edition. This week's edition of The Sunday Times will be available to download in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Further editions are available by subscribing to the newspapers seven days a week, or by signing up to The Sunday Times and The Times digital package for £2 a week, which provides unlimited access to both The Times and Sunday Times websites and iPad Editions. It is also possible to purchase individual editions through the Apple Store for £1.79.
