KM Group to become Locally Connected

KM Group has begun monthly auditing of the KentOnline website traffic with a view to joining the Newspaper Society’s integrated print and online audience currency project, Locally Connected.

Measurement started in January and is being carried out by ABCe, who previously audited the site on an annual basis. The last independent audit took place in February 2009 and showed that the site, which acts as an umbrella for several local-interest and special-interest sites, received more than 4,200,000 page impressions from 286,500 unique users.

Locally Connected was launched in November 2009 and is the UK’s first integrated print and online planning currency. Lynne Anderson (pictured), Newspaper Society Communications Director says “Locally Connected gives advertisers and agencies a unique and powerful cross-media planning tool that demonstrates how they can effectively target the UK’s local communities online as well as in print. We are delighted that the KM Group is joining the scheme with their KentOnline website.”

Commercial Director Brin Bucknor, one the directors of JICREG, says “Being part of Locally Connected is further evidence of KM Group’s commitment to being a true multimedia business.

"The integrated demographic data will be a huge aid to our sales teams who have until now had only print-based demographic information and average online topline user/visitor figures to share with potential clients.”

KM Group data will appear as part of Locally Connected from April.
